Search is no longer ten blue links.
A practical model for earning visibility across traditional results, maps and AI-mediated discovery without chasing tricks.
The model
- Accessible: search systems can crawl, render and understand the important content.
- Relevant: pages directly satisfy real customer intents.
- Specific: first-hand expertise and original detail beat generic summaries.
- Connected: internal links create understandable topic relationships.
- Identifiable: business, authorship and subject entities are clear and consistent.
- Local when relevant: real-world business signals align with the market served.
- Useful in passages: important answers are explicit, contextual and quotable.
- Measurable: visibility is connected to qualified leads and revenue.
What this changes
We do not create separate “SEO content” and “AI content.” We build useful source material that is technically accessible, semantically clear and worthy of retrieval. The distribution surface may change; the underlying requirement to deserve attention does not.
A service-page review in four decisions
- Eligibility: Does the page load successfully, permit crawling and identify its preferred URL?
- Buyer value: Can a reader understand the service, scope, requirements and next step?
- Evidence: Are examples labeled honestly, and can factual claims be checked?
- Outcome: Can the team distinguish an inquiry from a qualified opportunity?
Prioritize a broken inquiry path before expanding a topic library. Then improve the page with the largest unanswered buyer question. Record a baseline before changing it.
Google’s current guidance confirms that established SEO remains relevant to generative AI search; it does not require special AI markup or llms.txt. Search Console access is needed to verify indexing and applicable inclusion settings. Read the official guidance or our worked AI search guide.
