A website doesn't have a conversion problem. It has a reason.
The GOAT's five-system framework for finding where a website loses qualified buyers.
1. Intent alignment
Does the page answer the problem that brought the visitor there? Search query, ad promise, landing-page headline and offer should feel like one continuous conversation.
2. Message clarity
A visitor should quickly understand what you do, who it is for, why it matters and what to do next. Clever copy cannot compensate for ambiguity.
3. Trust
Proof should sit near the decision it supports. Relevant work, process transparency, real credentials and clear business information reduce uncertainty better than generic claims.
4. Friction
Every unnecessary field, competing CTA, slow interaction, confusing navigation path or unanswered objection adds resistance. The goal is not “fewer elements”; it is fewer unnecessary decisions.
5. Measurement
A form submission is not revenue. Track the path from source and landing page through qualified lead, appointment, sale and revenue whenever the business systems allow it.
